Ryanair Headquarters | Facade Cleaning
Overview
Ryanair approached SMC Group about having the exterior facades of their building in Airside cleaned, including the front and back of the building. The area was over 200sq meters, with special care to be taken with no damage to the façade or building in general.
The Problem
The Ryanair building in Airside retail park is very exposed to the elements and requires regular façade cleaning and maintenance. Being close to the airport, manufacturing plants and heavy traffic, it is also exposed to a lot of pollution. Ryanair needed 200sq metres of façade restored without damaging the building or causing any disruption to their day-to-day business.
The Solution
After consultation with facilities management in Ryanair, SMC Group drew up a plan to provide a clean, safe, eco-friendly and time-sensitive solution to their problem. Using extendable poles and cherry pickers, SMC Group was able to reach the most difficult areas, without causing any obstruction or nuisance to the business or areas in front of the building.
Why is our method effective?
We used eco-friendly products that don’t cause any damage to property and special preservation techniques to not only provide a clean, streak-free facade but using a spray technique that minimises water usage and pressure which further protects the surfaces. We did this late afternoon when the car park was not busy and there would be minimum disturbance or distraction to the staff on the premises.
